I am still having an interesting issue with WideTraffic (64 bit) and my Sismo equipment.

When I my WideTraffic server is inactive, everything works perfect.
When I then turn on the WideTraffic server (on the host P3D v4.1) in a few seconds all or most of the five Sismo systems (MCP, MIP, Pedestal and two overheads) Ethernet cards shut down.

This does not happen with P3D v3 and the 32 bit version of WideTraffic.

When I say shut down, the handshake signal light on the motherboard (MB) Ethernet interface stops blinking and the MB can not be pinged. It requires powering down the module to correct.
Note that all other Ethernet interfaces are working 100% (e.g., all five PCs on the network connect and WideView is propagating data to each of the three client PCs just fine. And I retain an internet connection.

This is a Sismo issue, but is caused by WideTraffic 64. It's as though WideTraffic is flooding the interface with bad data packets and the PCs on the network can handle that (ignore them) but the custom Ethernet interface on each of the Sismo embedded computers fail.

Anyone else using Sismo gear with WideTraffic 64?

Thanks

Hi Jim

How are you transferring weather to the clients?

If you are transferring weather via WideView that tends to put a lot of stress on the network connection.  A much more efficient method is to use FSGRW which transfers weather more efficiently via a network bridge setup.

Perhaps that could apply in your situation to ease the traffic.
