Title: Telex 750 headsets
Post by: fsaviator on September 06, 2018, 11:48:41 PM
I dug out my headsets as I begin to install the comms in my sim and noticed some of the foam was literally falling off one of Telex 750s.  I researched OEM and quickly realized that would defeat the great deal I got on each of the headsets I've bought over the years.  Instead, I took a chance on a some replacement foam pads I found on Amazon, as well as on a whim, some pleather covered ones.  They were cheap enough that if they didn't fit no big deal... well, the pleather arrived in one day (thanks Prime) and I am very happy!  So happy that I don't even care if the foam one show up.

Here's some pics of an upgraded headset and the standard for reference.  Also a link to the item on Amazon.  The mic foamies were free with the purchase of the earpieces

Hope this helps someone out

Awesome tip Warren, thank you!

I noticed some of the foam pads on a few of my Telex headsets are deteriorating as well, so your post could not have come at a better moment. I will try the Amazon offer.

Thank you again and best regards,
Marc

Out of curiosity Bernard, why go to Telex?  There are any number of places to purchase approved OEM and aftermarket foamies - you can see below:

My point was to share a cheaper alternative than the OEM, that has been checked for fit.  As far as I am concerned, realism only goes so far.

For the price of one set of foamies, I got leather and mic screen for two sets!

Trust me, there is no difference in effectiveness. I checked.  :)

I hear you on the shopping, but I five telex 750s (four tx/rx, 1 rx only) so it was worth shopping about a bit.

OEM Foamies for five telex headsets equals about four months of Prosim updates for me.
