Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, October 15, 2009 -Flightdeck Solutions (FDS) announced it has been awarded a contract from Boeing Integrated Defence Systems for a High Fidelity Flightdeck demonstrator of the EP-X aircraft. This demonstrator will be used for development purposes as the program continues to gain ground in the global market.
The EP-X is a manned airborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting aircraft that will replace the U.S. Navy's EP-3 signals intelligence (SIGINT) platform.
“Over the past several years, FDS has enjoyed a very solid relationship with the people at Boeing and we are pleased to see a second device being ordered for this major program†said Peter Cos, President (FDS). “We’re particularly pleased to see more growth in the flight deck development/mock up part of our business and Boeing has been a huge part of that for FDSâ€.
FDS will deliver the EP-X unit in Seattle in the fall of 2009.

Looked pretty much like a regular 737 except with ejection seats ;D and in flight refuelling. I can do that in my simulator when my wife ejects me if she needs something and in flight refuelling is easy with FS, so what's the big deal? ::) :laugh:

Is the EP-X a version of the 787? or 737NG? or...?
I believe it also goes away with Yokes. Welcome side-stick. or was it HOTas? lol and FBW.

I think you are right Ali.. (I would have never thought Boeing would ever go to the darkside of the sidestick) LOL And Autocad, I believe from what I was reading the shell is very much a 737.

LOL, Yes you did... but I still admit, your better off scrapping your Boeing Sidestick idea.. (Even Boeing hasn't proven that theory yet LMFAO)

Actually Boeing uses "sticks" in a number of thier large military AC. Not Side sticks but the same thing. They are on a pedistal in the middle. Still fly by wire...
