Before I start probing all the possible combinations, has someone already solved the color coding?
I found that 2 combo allow Autopilot disconnect contact open and one contact closed...
Not obvious.

I just used a meter and operated the switches while checking the wires.

The AP disconnect is normally closed in case you didn't know.

Pull the trim switch out of the yoke. The wiring diagram is on the housing and it will also let you see what color wires are connected to the switch.

If you have the trip reminder on the opposite horn, there will be two wires connected to it for internal lighting. If you don't have one, those wires are still in the horn. By removing the cap you can eliminate those colors in your probing.

Hey Jack,

I still have to tackle the same thing with my yokes.    I had started a thread a while back on trim switch questions in which Trevor gave me a great set of diagrams for wiring.    Here is the thread.

That's from my Boeing maintenance manual for the 727, but shouuld work for all of them.

Sorry I missed that post.....Stupid me...Search Search!

I probed the wires,  and on my yoke ( not sure they are all the same)

Red             : commun
Orange-black: Nose up
Orange        : Nose down
BOTH SWITCHES HAVE TO BE ACTIVATED . JUST ONE DOES NOTHING. WHICH IS OK.
