Hmmm!!! Why is my mouth watering? Oh yeah, it's just unadulterated jealousy. ;D

I'm sure that after I see your results, I will find it very hard to build my own shell whenever I'm ready and do it the smart way instead ...the FDS way that is. ;)

Jack,

I have the FDS metal shell in my sim and am awaiting the completion of the liners. The shell is very well made and looks awesome. I'm going to be posting some pics of my cockpit soon. The first batch of pics I took didn't turn out so I have to redo them.

If I can recall, it took about 14-16 hours but I did not have any instructions to work from other than a few pics.  I'm hoping that FDS has since done some kind of manual because a fair amount of time was spent trying to figure out what parts went where. Once I got into a system, things went more smoothly.

If you have any problems, let me know and I'll try to assist you.   One point...it is important that you install the angled arc support pieces at the back of the unit correctly. Otherwise the support struts on the ceiling will not align correctly and you'll end up like I did taking a number of pieces apart.

Boeing Skunk Works

Hard to image FDS producing something of that caliber without a manual.

Can't wait to see it!

It was a unit that became available in the early days of production and a manual wasn't available at the time.  I was at their shop and saw what the finished product looked like and thought I could remember from memory....mistake!  :-[

Just to jump in, there is a manual. It did come out after Harry received his nose sectional. Actually will be one for the liners as well. Just getting everything together to take pictures and write it up.

While you're here, are components of the liner kit available separately?

Thanks Steve for the update...I thought a manual was available now but wasn't sure. We pioneers in the early days of construction managed to get through  :)  BTW, my new power supply has been installed and everything is working perfectly. LED lights are awesome!

Good to hear Harry!

The liners we have now are sold in sets. If people are interested in specific pieces the should contact Pete. He is planning on making some pieces available.

Thanks,
