Title: Fitting Forward Overhead Frame
Post by: Ed on February 17, 2018, 10:44:34 AM
Hi All,

Currently fitting forward and aft overheads to FDS shell. Just a question on where they should sit in relation to the port and starboard beams/brackets. I've included two pictures, one is of Jack's Overhead and you can see it hangs down..maybe an inch? What is the distance of the red marks?  The other picture is my frame which I have sitting flush with the brackets. I'm not what is best..to leave flush or let fall slightly as in Jacks picture.

Mine is set for the liners so that it ends up flush with them.
IMHO better to have it that way or in between especially if you go for the liners later. Having the OVH recessed would'nt look too good.

Perfect ! Jack, Scott, thanks for the great pictures. I kind of thought it would be around the 1 inch or less mark. Pictures tell a thousand words. I should be good to burn a little midnight oil tonight :).
