Title: 3X60" HDTV visual- part1
Post by: jackpilot on July 17, 2010, 08:59:08 AM
Hi Guys

Was at FDS to pick up some parts.
There was a B737NG FBPT  with 3 x Sony 60" being fine tuned for a client.
Softwares were FS9, Sim-Avionics, Wideview.

I have not seen this setup on any newer TV's but I did a setup a few years back for a guy with 3, 60" DLP projection sets with a contrasr ratio of 10,000 to 1 and all I can say is the view was drop dead FANTASTIC!!!! I will see if I can find any of the pictures...

What I miss about it is the side views.  You need that to create the sense of movement I think.    What I would like to see is a 5 screen setup like this.   I think you can take two TH2GO's and make a 1x6 setup but have yet to see anyone do it.

Check post-2

This setup uses Wideview so just add two computers and two screens and you get 180-200° view.
But trust me even with 3 screens covering up to the first row of side windows...it rocks!! as soon as the aircraft moves.
