Hi there,

I am currently enjoying my sim and flying online when I find the time of course. I use 2 CH Eclipse yokes (CPT & F/O), which have the rudders on the thumbs and I am happy with those till I find an affortable solution for yokes and rudders, BUT I cannot stand the looks of my 2 kitchen chairs I use for seats  ;D

(Pic is before installing my Rev Sim Pro TQ)

So I am currently doing a research for 2 737 seats, and to be honest I find $3500 + shipping to Athens for a set of original 737 seats too expensive for me right now, so I must see what other alternatives are out there...

What do you guys use for seats ?

Do you have original seats ? If yes how much did they cost ?

Did you build on your own ? If yes can I see few pics ? That would be great !

Any advise in general ?

Thanks

Nick

Have you tried looking at a automotive scrap yard for a pair of front seats out of a scrapped car, truck or van?

1)Check EBay in the Aviation parts section.
2) There must be some Aircraft dismantling junkyards in Greece or neighbour country
2)Check http://www.oncealoft.com/
scroll down to the Seat section. Nick has a wide choice.

Today on EBay:

You can find decent Aero seats for $300-$500 max.

You could always go the cheapest way (apart from finding nice car seats in the junkyard) and make some out of MDF and foam.

Thanks to all for your help  :)

I have already contacted and exchanged few e-mails with Capt Nick from Ovcean Loft. I am also looking for other alternatives too.

I will let you know,

;D
