Hello,

Someone has ordered the yoke 737 from ACE.

In my case I ordered one on 29/12/2011 and still waiting.
And there is no answer to my e-mail from this company.

I am concerned, I am left with the service.
10 days ago they reply on of my many mails answering that they will give me my tracking number. No news after this mail.

I was wondering if for you it is the same.

Regards.

I would not worry too much.
Ali will probably contact you

I would not worry too.

Same happened with my dual linked yokes for 5 days.

I received an e-mail from Ali. He was too busy building. He will contact you for sure.

This is how it goes with our hobby, we have to deal with these kind of "delays".

Regards,

Nick

After seeing the email to me from Karim, I contacted Ali, and passed on his concerns.  Since then he has responded to Karim and everything is fine.  Unfortunately we all get caught up in the "Buy it now, Want it now"  We all know this does not happen in this hobby.

Best regards,

Trev

PS Ali, passes on his best to all of us.

I'm biting my tongue because I'll be flamed, but be prepared to potentially wait for months after being told you will be sent a tracking number "on Monday".

jskibo

I waited as well, but in the end received a great product that was well worth the wait.  Do plan ahead, but you'll enjoy what you get!

+1 on build quality. I have couple of real Boeing yokes and I'm going to keep using my ACE yoke as my main stick. It's a real close ringer (almost exact) for the real deal -except- I didn't have to re-engineer and wire it! You don't get them overnight but you'll be glad you waited and worried!

 Good day,

I am Patrick Fuchez, from Tours, in France and i have the same problem that "vuelosat".

I order the  yoke, the 2 december 2012, by pay pay.

  Ali tell me  "
Sorry for the delays. We cannot ship because of missing some parts.

We are waiting on them from a vendor, so it seems like we will ship it 1st February .

Ali"

and  "They are out of stock because we are manufacturing them.

Your order will ship before everyone else.

Your payment is secure we are working on it."

Since after many and many mails no answering.....

What can i do ?

Thanks very much for your aswer and good week and

fufu

OmniAtlas,

Be prepared to wait six to eight months.  If you get it sooner, then that is a bonus.  Ali's timelines are a well known and should not surprise anyone by now.

The only real issue is he tends to get caught up and not answer emails.  That can be concerning, but at the end of the day you will get everything you paid for.

With that said, you will NOT be dissatisfied with what you get.  There are no yokes out there that compare.

I'll second what Warren said, although my wait was closer to three months.  He did give a few dates that he blew through without notice or response.

While communication is not Ali's strong suit, he builds a real work of art and in the end its worth the wait. I'll be buying another from him.

Ali might make a great yoke but IMHO there aint nothing like the real thing.

My advice....get some yokes on ebay with the columns if possible or from APHS and make them yourself.   You will be much happier in the long run and you will know how to repair and replace pots etc yourself.  I think it will be less expensive also than buying a replica.    Plenty of real ones out there if you look.

For once !! (every rule has an exeption,) I disagree with you Scott.
I have both, side by side, and honestly I do not think you could tell which is which, both visual and feel (feel = holding it) except maybe the click of the push switch on the real one.
As for dynamic feel, unless you go as far as David Allen in load control, whatever we can create at great effort with springs or dampers is matched by Ace yokes.
Just my ¼¢ :D

Sorry Jack,  I agree with Scott on this one.  Ive used another members Ace dual yoke system and he knows my thoughts very well on them. If these were in a respectable price point I would have said they were great value but unfortunately they are not. These are garbage for the price you pay.  I cant comment on the single Yoke version.
Having used the dual yoke version , I would never recommend them to anybody else and would do as Scott suggests and build your own or look at Northern Flightsim if they are within budget.

That is a great reason to buy the ACE OmniAtlas and you cant go wrong.  You could also take a look at the ones from Precision Flight Controls.   They are very nice also and some members here have them.   Great service and a great product.  Has a square column but you'd never notice in the dark :-)

Hi,

Thank you for your answers.
I am going to arm myself with patient and to wait with enjoyment !!!

Here we go gentlemen...

An alternative to the dual yokes.  Jump on it now as you WILL NOT find them cheaper:

Real yoke conversion for use in flight sim, too expensive.

Actually will cost about 1/2 the price of buying from a manufacturer if you do it yourself and that includes buying the yoke and column . Just because you don't have the skillset, don't put the blame as the price. Most of us here had no idea about electronics, welding, carpentry or software skills when we started. We picked all if this stuff up along the way

Gary

One sure thing:
Real aero parts, if properly linked  to whatever actuation mechanism  with proper materials (meaning no plastic or MDF) will outlast you and your sim.
No issue with reliability.

     Hi,
Anyone knows what pot type do i need to be replace in a ACE yoke?
I need to do it on my capt yoke because elevator pot is faulty after some checks... :(

thanks,

fsaviator

Carlos,
these are the hall effect sensors I got if you decide to take that route:

70152972
HRS100SSAB180      $28.410
Sensor, Position, Hall Effect, Rotary, 5VDC, Stainless Steel Shaft, 180deg.

70152986
HRS100SSAB090      $28.410
Sensor, Position, Hall Effect

Pay particular attention to the limits... on is 90 degrees and one is 180.

I got them from allied electronics.  I have NOT installed them yet as my systems seem to be gone now, but I have them just in case things go bad down the road.  I have pulled the elevator pot out and it is a fairly simple thing to change though.  The aileron on the other hand could pose a problem as you will have to get in behind the yoke and the ACE yokes are no less comlicated than a real one.
