FLIGHTSIMEXPO RELEASES 2019 SPEAKER SCHEDULE, ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH EAA

Registration is open now for FlightSimExpo 2019, held June 7-9 at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld®. In addition to two-day event access, drinks and appetizers, and a conference bag, FlightSimExpo registration now includes a free, 6-month membership to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)!

ORLANDO – April 9, 2019 – North America's community-driven conference has just launched its 2019 schedule! FlightSimExpo 2019 will feature presentations and panels from YouTube content creators, flight simulation developers, airline personnel, helicopter sim enthusiasts, and more during two days of back-to-back seminars in two conference rooms.

Attendees can register for FlightSimExpo at www.flightsimexpo.com for just $70. Registration now also includes a 6-month membership with the EAA. This free membership, designed for pilots and also for simmers with no real-world flight time, offers six editions of EAA Sport Aviation Magazine, access to local EAA chapters, free entry to more than 300 museums, and discounted attendance at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

Attendees who have already registered should check their email for instructions on how to add the free EAA membership onto their existing registration.

FlightSimExpo is also excited to announce that there are now more than 50 confirmed exhibitors for the 2019 event, surpassing last year's total with a month to go before exhibitor registration closes.

Schedule Highlights

Event seminars take place on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9. Following a welcome and introduction by conference organizers, YouTubers Jason Miller and Steve Thorne ("FlightChops") will speak about the benefits of sim for real-world training. Then, Twitch streamer chillywillies will moderate a panel designed to connect attendees to flight simulation developers, who will discuss their backgrounds, their perspectives on the flight simulation industry, and what is next for the community.

The conference portion of the show then splits into two rooms. In "The Right Seat", Prepar3D, Gleim Aviation, Parallel 42, Virtual Fly, Mettar Simulations, Noble Flight Simulation, and Mindstar Aviation will each have 30 minutes to share their latest developments and news. Meanwhile, in the second room, attendees can learn more about flight operations from a real-world dispatcher and will hear from airline pilot and airshow performer Paul Schulten.

On Sunday, June 9, the schedule continues in two parallel rooms. "The Right Seat" will feature an in-depth series on Using At-Home Flight Simulation. Designed for the first-time simmer, presentations from FSElite's Calum Martin, Sebastian Knoop-Troullier, and Ethan Hawes will take attendees through the step-by-step process of setting up and using an at-home simulator. Meanwhile, "The Left Seat" will feature the finals of the X-Plane Landing Competition, an in-depth seminar on cockpit building, and a discussion of helicopter flight simulation.

2019 Exhibitors
Since January, FlightSimExpo has added the following sponsors and exhibitors: Flight One Software (sponsor), Flight Velocity, FS-FlightControl, FSReborn Series by Flight Sim Technologies Ltd, Graves RC, Jetline Systems, LIFT Academy - Republic Airways, Mettar Simulations, Mindstar Aviation, National Air Traffic Controllers Association, NIMBUS SIMULATION STUDIOS, Noble Flight Simulation, PropWash Simulation, Q8 Pilot (sponsor), RaceDayQuads, REMEX (The Irregular Corp.), SKALARKI electronics Ltd, Vattastic, and VIRTUAL FLY S.L.

Trev,

You should invite  "Michael_B767_ATP" from the FlightDeckSolutions forum who I venture to say has more knowledge of cockpit building then most of the vendors speaking. I realize the vendors have a invested interest in getting the word out about their respective products but Michael has nearly reached the Holy Grail in simulation using X-Plane and its associated add-ons. Just look at this video and judge for yourself. https://youtu.be/jp6w6b3AjCM

There are those that have, those who try, and those who wish. This guy would be a sellout at your event.

My opinion.

Hi Mike,
Not our Event..
We are a media Partner for Expo, and to be honest, I don't even think "Cockpitbuilding" is even on their radar.  Most of the people going there are desktop pilots.

There is a 2-hour segment on the Sunday agenda devoted to cockpitbuilding that includes 4 speakers including such notables as Peter Wu for example.

That is good to see......we need to develop a broader awareness within the FlightSim community.

I will be at the Expo including the Friday afternoon session.

Is there a way we could coordinate within our group who is going and setting up meeting places etc? I am volunteering for the event, anything I can do I am open to help.
My 737-800 full-scale cockpit has been sold. Now onto my full-size military helicopter project. An AOPA member and LifeTime member of National Association of Flight Instructors. Please note that I am a self-employed professional cockpit builder that provides consulting to defense contractors and civilian schools and airlines.

Whoever is planning to go should announce such here.  Then we can figure something out and make sure no one is left out.

Last year it was sort of ad hoc....for example group lunches and dinners organized once we got there.  Which works also.

Trev,

Got ya. Thank you and I wish you guys luck. Sounds like an awesome event.

I remember years ago we all met in Orlando back when Microwing's hosted the event. The exchange of information first hand is priceless.

Might want to have everyone use the Discord channel on your phone as a sort of group communication point.  Trev could set up a separate channel just for the event.  That way you can all check in and communicate in real time........Except Trevor as I heard Canada only has flip phones :)
Less than 4 years to retirement......

LMFAO..
I would be happy to setup and event Channel in the discord.  I will make that happen over the next week

Hi Michael - thanks for the suggestion, and sorry for the delayed reply. I somehow missed this thread when it first got posted. We're always looking for builders and simmers to be part of the event.

I'm not a member myself on the FDS forums...wondering if the invite might be better-received coming from you. Perhaps you could drop "Michael_B767_ATP" a message and toss him my email: evan@flightsimexpo.com?

I'm happy to shoot him a message if that's easier. Just let me know.
