Hi all,
This week we had the pleasure of helping Aviation Australia renew some 727 cockpit components at their Brisbane International Airport training facility.

The site houses the following aircraft:
Fokker F28
Boeing 727
Bell 206 Helicopter
Robinson 44 Helicopter
Cessna 152
Piper Seminole
Pressurised Piper Navajo
Beechcraft Kingair.

We look forward to working closely with these guys in the coming year as more opportunities to replace aged cockpit parts pop up.

What sort of components or parts did you provide?

Thanks for the question,

Replacement of "black" knobs thoughout, Second off /engineers panel, main instr, overhead and pedestal.

Most difficult job was to obtain the best specimen to use as a master in each case, some 727 knobs are "sunk" into the panel, such as the cross feeds, this allows for backlighting etc. That was a different technique to flatback modern varieties.

Our contact on site VERY discerning. Examined each new part for quality rigorously. Overall it was a good exercise. I believe we move into other areas next visit.
