Hi Guys,
With 60 Days Left to Worldflight, we finally have a plan.  The new Building to house the simulator may or may not be done in time for the event, however the Simulator is still housed in its temporary location, and we can use it no matter the location.  Construction is just a tad behind schedule, but we will make it work one way or the other.

Ray, Kyle, Bob and Myself will be arriving in Sarasota for the Week Long Event. (Graciously hosted by Sam)

The Main issue this year is Space for Lodging.  There is unfortunately no room for anyone to stay at the location, so anyone attending will need to book their own hotels at their cost.  Also, you will need to provide your own food and transportation to and from the Simulator and be prepared to be available for your assigned flights.

Looking at keeping the numbers Low this year again due to space Limitations. Preference will be given to those with Previous Worldflight Experience.

Message me if you are interested and we will hammer out the details over the coming weeks.

I'll be there.  Just booked a double room at the Quality Inn Sarasota North on Tamiami Trail.  I land Friday the 2nd on us at TPA, til the 11th.

Anyone who needs a room, you're welcome to share mine. Room for the full time is 607, so 304 to share the room.

Sam Llorca

Thank you guys for your outstanding support, the simulator will be available for WF 2018  just like Trevor said, I'm currently working on a new facility to make WF2019 more comfortable for all of us, we apologize for this inconvenience, looking forward to see you soon and share our annually friendship.

blueskydriver

Awesome guys, glad to see that WF2018 will still happen!

Big Kudos to you Sam for going through the Hurricanes and yet, you still make this all possible...the whole USA owes you for being Cockpit Builders Team USA  :idiot:

Hello!  I apologize for not interacting more but I've been slammed here between travel, work, and knocking out a Master's as retirement looms on the horizon.  In my spare time I chip away at reassembling my sim.  Almost there...  I promise a ton of updates after this weekend - just a few things I need to work out.  Stand by for some questions in another thread.

Anyway, I'm available to fly over the Worldflight weekend.  I'm just a short drive up the road in Tampa so tell me what you need - I'm up to just coming by to hang out and lend moral support as well.

Cheers!

Wow.  Is the plan to have it up and running for Worldflight? Let me know if you need help prior to get things set.  I can cruise down on weekends if needed

Thanks Warren, I'm trying to get it done but I know is a bit too late for 2018, but It'll  be up and running for 2019 WF.

NOTAM....

Given the overall situation a small group of us will again be operating UAL 1120 from Virginia for WF this year associated with the SRQ Cockpitbuilders family. All donations will go to ACH in that regard. Sam is in agreement with that arrangement.

We plan to have a video stream up and running this year.

In any event it is exciting to see the progress on the permanent home for DAL 209 for the future for sure!

I'll build your flight releases from KSRQ. Once we get closer, I'll provide you with a login to the web briefing tool so your crews can retrieve the flight plans.
