Hi all,

Thought I'd post a few pics showing the current state of play in my 737 project.
Just started work on the overhead... and I thought the MIP was dificult  ;D

Yeah Joe, it looks great so far.

Question for anyone; did Boeing remove the flap gate stops on the NG series?

On the 727 and early 737 there is a gate stop at the flap 2° and 25° settings that the flap lever pin must pass under. That was to let the pilot know he was at the minimum and maximum flap takeoff and landing positions without looking and also to keep from pulling down the flaps past 25 accidentally.

Thanks Trev,

One more image, the one I posted wasn't the latest. This one shows some more work and the seats in place.. :)

Cheers
Joe.

I have never seen those Mike.  I have only been on WestJet 737-700's and I never noticed anything other then the indents at each Flap setting.

I think this is what Mike was referring to, I was aware of them but difficult to duplicate withour a CNC. All my building was done with a bandsaw and conventional hand tools. Although I've recently bought a lathe and milling machine and have already started on my TQ model 2 ;D

Cheers
Joe.

Yes, that's what I was talking about.

Positions are different on the 737, but it still functions the same. The flap lever pin must pass under the gate stop.

One of mine is missing. I had forgotten all about that until now.
