Title: Short introduction
Post by: andthiel on August 18, 2013, 10:56:38 AM

Hi fellow simmers and builders,

my name is Andreas, age 53, and I live in Germany.

Since the first days of Bruce Artwick's Flight Simulator in the 80's, I have always been a friend of flight simming. Before that I had built (and flown) a number of RC planes (mainly large gliders in the end). I was infected with helicopters during my time at the army.

I used to be a Cessna sim builder some 12 years ago. I tried my very best and had lot problems with too many USB cards and gauges after all... I got pretty frustrated and -

made my real PPL in 2003.

But the sim virus never died. Though my combined GA/Heli sim is nothing but a huge construction site since then, I came in contact with airliner simulaton during my IFR training...

After the kids left our home, I am now in the process of building my own 737-800 pit. However, after it will be finished - I know that's a joke... ;-) , is that possible at all? - I will return to finalize my 'old' pit.

Being in the Prosim forum for quiet a time now, I will join in here now more frequently.

Unfortunately just missed the map light offer earlier today...  :-(

That's me in a nutshell.

Cheers,

Andreas

Cheers

I am a newby in Tapatalk, too, Luis, I am sure you will make it... ;-)

It is bad that you cannot switch between editing a response and the respective forum message - at least I can't do it...

But in total it's a real nice and handy app :-)

Best regards to Miami (or NJ),

Andreas
