Title: Hello Everyone
Post by: MLeavy737 on September 13, 2009, 06:07:44 AM
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Michael Leavy and i have been working on a 737 sim for probably close to 5 years and into this hobby  for many many more than that! The last few years have been tough on the sim building as my family and I made a move to TX from NY and i switched jobs. I am currently flying for Continental airlines on the 737,3,5,7,8,9,9ER and loving it!  Now that the wx is starting to get better i am itching again to start rebuilding the sim and finish it once and for all. Some of you may remember my sim from my website i had (kinda closed down because i forgot to pay for a little while after i switched cc's..oops) and as of the last year or so i made some pretty big part exchanges with a friend. New flight controls, MIP, NG throttles (coming very soon) and a bunch of other stuff.. Basically just need to put it all together now..
Look fwd to building, chatting again with everyone!

When you become a Bazillionaire then it may be possible....  LOL  I will setup a forum for you today, then when you awake, you can post your pics and anything else you desire until your heart is content.

And I always wondered how the white stripe got there...  Perhaps you could explain it to us all, I thought it was just like smoke in mirrors and it just appeared :) ..

Have a good night Dave,

thanks for the welcome and the invite. Tim im doing just great, was real busy with moving and selling the house last few years that the sim kinda stopped in its tracks. had to take it all apart for the big move and just recently started rebuilding. have some new parts from FDS and some rebuilt NG throttles from NortherFlightSim (Art) coming very soon. Slowly getting back into it.

The real stuff as been a blast. The 737's fly pretty nice and the NG's are just plain fun! My biggest problem will be trying not to get too pissed off at the sim software because it doesnt work like the real stuff :)

Ill get some pics up as soon as i have something worth taking a picture of besides a bunch of parts in crates! lol

Nice to see everyone again!

BTW Tim hows the training business and do you still have a sim? I remember you said goodbye a while ago?

Hey Mike,
Ya you know me I can't quite let it go lol. I got rid of some but still got most of it still intact, nough to fly :) Ovhd, rudders, JS, All instruments, throttles. Hey you know what would be cool, why dont you make a section for us called 737 real vs sim and explain all the differences in Software we have and real, that would be great. add to it asyou have time. Man Id love that Mike. As far as my training business its going really well. Im training a bunch of US Military, good guys heading over to AStan shortly. I have a contract with Federal Police her in Canada for training. Im currently working on training 2 pro fighters for UFC  hopefully they make it and allot of other stuff. OIverall its good bro.Im so happy to see your doing well Mike, thats awesome.Take care and well talk soon. Anything I can do just holla :)

Your friend

Awesome Tim, glad its working for ya! I have lots of respect for you, I can appreciate the time and effort im sure it takes to be at the level you are with your art. Also cool you held on to your sim parts, sounded tough on you a while back when you were planning on selling it all.

That would be a good idea comparing the real stuff to sim. hopefully i'll have a functional sim up again in the next few month to be able to contribute something like that. would probably work for some of the other iron drivers here as well. Funny i honestly have not flown any FS airplane since i started flying 73's for CAL. Im very curious what works and what does not..  Any software developers here?? Lets write our own :) lol
