Title: Hello from the netherlands
Post by: Jasperschn on October 24, 2015, 11:35:51 AM
Dear builders!

I am new to this forum so let me introduce myself. I am in training to be a B2 mechanic for the Dutch navy on their helicopter. For fun I use xplane on my MacBook Air to make some short flights with the 737 and 777. I am thinking about upgrading my set up for a more realistic flying experience. I am thinking about using 2/3 screens for the outside view and 2 smaller screens for the PFD and ND. But for doing this I need a better computer (desktop). But I have no idea what kind of hardware to buy and how the external screens and instrument will communicate together. Also I don't know if I can do this with xplane etc etc. I have seen plug and play modules and other kind of panels etc. So I hope to get some tips and tricks about how to set it all up. I am on a budget so I am not able to get it done in a year!

Hi Jasper. Some of us are using X-Plane and some are using P3D or FSX.

You need to decide on a platform and then stick to it. Lots of reading here. Welcome to the forum
