Title: Camera setup?
Post by: Dakamawy on November 12, 2017, 01:11:12 AM
Hello guys,
So I'm kinda new in this awesome forum, however I've been  a long term follower. I've got a question though. What camera setup(s) do you gents use for capturing cockpit footage (model, quantity, special arrangements) and the software used to mix several camera inputs into one feed for live streaming or just for yourselves. Moreover, how can I include the audio input and output from the speakers and headsets into the video stream as well?

Thank you in advance :D

Hi And welcome to the group.

The cameras we use are Microsoft life cams 720p. They have a microphone on them and pick up the audio of the cockpit.

The best way to get the audio from atc into your stream is to use an external mixer, combine the output from your atc machine with your output of you audio intercom and an output from your Fs machine then feed this to a line in on your streaming machine.

We use Open Broadcast software (its free) and can incorporate directly into YouTube or twitch depending on your setup.

You can also stream from your vpilot ATC computer and just select the sound card output as your audio source in the software.
