Title: late intro
Post by: jackpilot on September 22, 2009, 08:58:27 AM
Well Tim said no exceptions (some remnants of FlyByWire mentality, hey?)  so I will gracefully comply.
Of course most builders have seen my posts elsewhere and I am the same person..guaranteed.
My 737 NG is taking shape. All hardware done except yokes and pedals, Shell and liners come in next week..will be busy with interfacing this winter. 95% FDS.
Lets have fun in this new home
Best regards.

Thank you very much Tim...
Soon I should have some more pics of the FDS CDU's in my setup opn my site. I have some some problems with my site actually and am unabble to publish them. But soon you will see it...
BTW I am pleasantly surprise to meet here many persons I know since a very long time as precursors in the cockpit construction domain! Both of you Tim, Jackpilots, Trevor, Ivar, Bob, Tomlin, Bryssidave and many more. These are very active builders that I know one way or an other since the beginning of my project.
So a big HELLO to all of you there :)
Al

WOW WOW WOW

Phil!!!!!!!!!!

It looks just like a real aircraft. It is unbelievable. I love it. These shots tell the story very good. You have invested a serious amount of time and money on this. Very impressive. I am almost speechless.

Cant wait for more shots.

You are a kind man also. Let your wife watch TV when you fly. Not bad at all. I thought the wifes mostly were running between the sim and printer with charts and weather reports ;D (Hope Tracy dont read this)  ;D

Then you are way ahead of me buddy :)

Thats the really good about the 737. It is a endless project ;D Always something to add. Whats the story about your interior buddy? It looks very real. I guess lots of it are real stuff :)

As you know lots of work!!! Interior is from Aerodeck(RIP) ;) 85% real stuff.

ahh, you are one of the lucky few that got the parts :)

They sure look good. Too bad they were not serious to all their customers. Looks like high quality items.

85% real stuff. Man, that is awesome. You got most of it working also? Bet that is a lot of work. Easier with aftermarket parts for sure.

Aerodeck had a good thing going if they could have followed through.

I thought about offering to mod real equipment for simulator installation, but there are so many different ways of wirin g this stuff it's pretty impractical from a reverse engineering standpoint.

Maybe that's what got them.
