Building a flight deck

Dear people.
                   I m new here and was really pleased to know such places exists. I am trying to build a cheapish flight simulator of 1/ general aircraft piper warrior type and a generic Sim using the body of an HS 125. I my self dismantle aeroplanes after they have come to the end of there usefull life and would be happy to help anyone who needs my help. I live near London and hope to make lots of friends and learn as much as possible about how to build flight Sims.  would like to hear from any one who could help,  I hope anyone out there can advise me of how to make generic Sim for twin engined commercial jets and single engined piston aircraft. please view my pics, I am plane crazy

Hi there,

Neat pictures.  Building a cockpit can take years to accomplish. Its not something anyone can tell you how to do, or what to do. You need to think of it as an art, if I said to you (tell me how to play Beethoven's 2nd) do you think I would be able to play it as good as you say too?

There is lots of information to help you learn, but you must learn to walk before you run. Take some time and work on some basic parts first. Build yourself a joystick, or a pair of rudder peddles (very cheap to build) and see if you are even up to this hobby.

If your heart is in the hobby and you have the passion you will reach your goal.

Hi I am in the process of building a 747-400 throttle quadrant ,and was wondring if you could tell me the dimensions of the levers and distance between them and the knobs ? thanks
