Spray painting

Hi Guys
Is there any way we can get the Boeing/Airbus colors in a spray can?
Would be very handy for small parts .
Any tips, ideas?

Do know some spraying shops are able to put it into spray cans for you. Try a car body garage or similar.

Not sure if I'm quite replying with the correct details, but this might be of some use  http://www.bfsmedia.com/~cockpits/resources/paint.htm and apparently Benjamin Moore now fill spray cans with custom colours. Hopefully there's a store near you that can supply this service.

Fantastic information.  I was unaware Benjamin Moore would create spray can's for us..  Now.. if only we had the Boeing Grey color we would be all set

I reckon we might actually have some of this (in a spray can too) because we do custom jobs for a local flight simulator manufacturer. I'm seeing him later on today so I'll ask him what the formula was. If we have it, it'll be the real deal formula as it's a commercial company we do the work for ...

A google search "boeing color RAL" gave a few results, a.o. RAL 7040. You can watch the color here: http://allral.com/view.php?id=7040
I guess vendors have both lighter and darker colors on panels, but it's up to you.
There is many shops mixing your RAL and put it on regular sprayboxes. Ask your local paintstore (of some size), or a garage.

Unfortunately the spray cans we used were actually supplied to us by our customer and the paint description on the sides of them simply says 'Boeing Dark Grey' ..

If we can source it here in the US for $7.00 (bulk order) with the guys I mentionned earlier...
...How many of you (local) guys would be interested?
Otherwise I will order one or two cans  from Germany...price difference is a non issue on a small order like that.

Hey guys,

If you come up with the paint formula you should be able to get it mixed at a paint shop . .  as for putting the paint in an aerosol can check this site out . . a little expensive but the can is reuseable / rechargeable.

Check out the rest of Eastwood site as there are many other products that may be useful during your build.  I restore older Corvettes and found this site very useful when refurbishing original parts.  Hope it helps out.
