I had great pleasure reviewing Ian's  gallery of  the FS Week end. Nice captions detailing who was on the pics
Just my 2¢ here:
We are a relatively small bunch of happy grown up Kids with a passion. As Ian said, a "United nations" group of long haul  friends, checking each other messages, daily, probably  more  than with  regular friends or family members. My point is that, quoting Michael, "It's nice to put a face with a name". Trevor started that trend, posting his own pic as an Avatar and I followed,  instead of having my little anonymous 737 seen on other sites.
It is a nice touch , making this site special, and long time friends closer friends.....

What a great idea Jack.  If more people would put their Avatar to their faces, we might all feel more "At Home"  For those that are interested, that would be a great thing to do.

Ok, here I am, right seat of a Cessna Grand Caravan, PABG to PANC. The pilot was all about smooth power management, he adjusted the throttle to take off, and  climbed to 2000' to maintain airspeed, and then at BOD he adjusted once more and didn't touch it till before he pulled to Beta on the ground. Very smooth.

It was IFR Low Clouds, and fog, and we dove through the clouds right to the 200' DH, ok more like 170 agl, and broke through to a very oddly lit runway due to the light diffusion form the fog.

Memorable flight anyway.

BTW we did get our first snow two days ago, and now there predicting a helluva' storm that could stall out right over South Central Alaska, and just dump like a conveyor belt, I can't wait!

Caravan is the ultimate Pick up Truck/magic carpet. You can live in it! . Flew it,  loved it....(loto !!!! would right away buy one on floats) perfect bird for Canada/Alaska.
