It is Boeing's CVRS simulator that uses a JVC projection system.

Will I ever live long enough for the price to come down to a home builder's budget?

Any guesses as to the visual program Boeing uses?  Looks pretty neat!

You probably will in 5 years that, that is probably standard. By the way it is not 4HD it is called 4K or UltraHD!

The JVC projectors in that Sim are actually 8K
They were listed at $261,000 each  last year.

5 years...more like 50 years before any mere human can afford one LOL

1080p short throw has only now become affordable...it will be some years for higher rez
short throw projectors to become "affordable".

Well I saw a youtube movie the other day about a very nice DIY display system. I will not hold it back from you.

These guys made a whole lot of films about the construction and so. Just look up the f15sim and you´ll see them.
They did an amazing job.  However i don´t think  I would be able to built it.

But maybe someday i´ll give it a try.
