Title: New to flight simming again
Post by: stratfordwill on December 04, 2019, 05:08:22 PM
Hi all,

Well, the MSFS2020 announcement has gotten me interested in flight simming again. I messed around wiht 2004 for awhile, but I haven't had a gaming PC for over a decade.

I'm interested in slowly working toward a realistic cockpit, but first I've got to figure out my PC and basic yoke/throttle/pedals. I'm weighing the timing on the assumption that I will focus on MSFS when it is released.

My interest has always been more geared toward GA than big iron, but I do like the turboprops.

Long term cockpit ambition is some turboprop like a Piaggio, Turbo Commander, PC12, TBM 900/930/940, or a King Air.

Mostly in the early research stage for as long as my willpower will allow.

Hey there and Welcome.

Moving from the Stream here, is like growing.  Thanks for dropping by.  Research is your best tool before you begin.  Need to decide if you want to focus on aircraft specific or a generic Cockpit.  Sometimes Generic is your best way to go if you like to fly different aircraft.

Because we don't as of yet know what Vaporware MSFS is going to provide, you have lots of time to do some research.  This should be looked at and identified as a "LONG TERM" Project.

Again,

Thanks for showing up!
