Preparing? Uhoh!  :o

My sim has been moth-balled for the past month, My ATC is nearly non-existent, My FMC is laughable, but this is going to be FUN!

I'll most likely be studying my FMC procedures on the flight out from Seattle...  8)

See y'all Nov 7th!

Can't wait to see you Ray.  I am looking forward to meeting you, I have heard lots about you.  Don;t worry about your procedures or moth eaten abilities..  737 = point and shoot, it might not look pretty but just get her from point A to Point B in one piece and that's all we ask :)

Its going to be a blast.

Hey John I am sure someone will still be up and around. Would you be flying into SRQ at that time?

Coming in commercial sadly.  With the whole "You need to move out of the house thing" I was teetering, but we have a prop hub issue on the Mooney and she's dumping about a Qt of oil every 2.5 on the hobbs.  Not something I want to deal with on a 10 hour journey.

172 or 177 would take forever to get there....

Since I have Boeing meetings during the day across from PIE, work bought the tickets and hotel so I'm fine with it.......

I trained in a cessna 172 with the designation something like N1799N

...that may not be entirely accurate but I do recall having to recite the "Niner-Niner-November" constantly in crowded airspace.

On the subject of Publicity.....Will we have any media coverage on the event?  Local newspapers and TV are always hungry for local public interest stories, and this is a good one in that regard particularly since a prominent local charity is involved!  Would be helpful to raise some additional donations during the week and also to spread the gospel about attracting new members to our hobby.  Also...Sam, Bob, and Trev would get their picture in the paper!

What do you all think?  Would be worth a call to the local news media I think.

Waiting on a delayed Barbie Jet out of Grand Rapids. Have three hours to make connection in Chicago so no worries.  Plan to drop bags, call and swing down your way.
