Gents and (Ladies) as some of you may be aware, totally unrelated to our Hobby, The Company I work for has been purchased by USA's Georgia Pacific.  Officially announced today.  Unfortunately this doesn't make things better for me, in fact probably the latter.  Some people say that "It can't get worse"  Well Guess what I say to them...  "It Just did" LOL.  Guess you all should have bought more OSB to build your sims. ha ha ha..  Just kidding.  Regardless, I just wanted to let you all know what is going on, so if you don't see me much, this is "One" of the reasons.  I am not giving up on the hobby, and for sure you can all be aware that this site will remain in tact, 100% no matter what goes on with me.  I find this forum to be my nest egg.  a place for me to relax and let my hair down and manage to let go of some of my daily stresses.

Regardless..  Thanks for being here and taking part in that with me.

Maybe I helped it happen? All my OSB is provided by Georiga Pacific already???!!!???

In all seriousness, I pray that some good will come outta this for you and your family (and work family too) and that you will have a great job with great benefits regardless where you wind up.

All the best Trev,

I am not so good at motivation, but one thing is for sure. When the bottom line is reached, there is only two ways to go. Forward and up :)

If I can assist with anything, let me know :)

Good luck Trevor

My company acquired or merged with 3 other companies at the end of the year and now I am one of the partners in charge of helping to integrate them.   It is tough for all involved but in the end the hope is that it is good for everyone otherwise we wouldnt do it.   I hope the same goes in your situation and it turns out to be a good thing.   If not....you seem like you are pretty resourcefull and enterprising and I am sure you will find your way to ultimate success in whatever you do.

Best regards and good luck and thank you for making this site what it is for us.

Hi Trevor;
Just heard this am on the radio heading into work. A friend of mine who lives in your neck of the woods in Kerns Township who works for Honeywell. Is up here in Cochrane tonite at my place and talking about the local affects this may cause here in northern Ontario. I'm sure you know yourself. Hang in there.
Take care
Bushman (Rob)

Thanks Rob.  I assure you the effects on the communities (And surrounding) communities aren't going to be as good with GP in the drivers seat as they were with Peter Driving.  In either case, I just hope that the communities don't suffer. My best wishes go to the Grant Family as well.

Incidentally, I drive through Cochrane every spring to go fishing (Fathers day weekend) up by detour Mine.  What a Blast.
