Title: Need some help on this one.
Post by: 727737Nut on November 04, 2010, 12:55:50 PM
I'm hooking up my real 737 TQ and I have a clutch mechanism like Jack has on his throttle. I am using 1/16" steel cable attached to a short section of chain.  I had installed a pot and small nylon pully on the pot but i am having slippage issues on the cable to pulley area.  I don't want to go with anymore tension so the only idea i have is some kind of rubber coated or more grippier surface. Any other ideas.  A string pot would be best but i can't afford those now so i have to figure out a way to use regular 3 turn pots that i have on hand.
Thanks!!

Try using a ribbed pulley belt and matching pulley - all available quite cheaply from here

I am using these products for driving my throttle levers and found this outfit to be quite responsive
