A nice gent named Jerry has nearly completed his build of the #2 DIY cockpit project. Here's some pics of his build.

He's using an indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot for the interior (runs about .49c per square foot)

The post-it notes are instrument & control position place-holders. He was originally going to build it using the high-arch instrument panel, but later decided to use the low arch version. That's why the instrument panel shown in the picture doesn't match the profile of the mount. :)
He's using a $27 folding boat seat - it looks pretty cool:
