Title: Adjustable, surface mount rudder pedals.
Post by: jackpilot on March 27, 2010, 06:29:11 AM
For those of us sitting  on this side of the Pond.
These sturdy Pedal sets are fully adjustable (Front/Back) with a crank handle just like the real aircraft. . Not all pilots are the same height and as in the real aircraft the ability to move the pedals forward and backwards is a great idea.

LOL Jack.. I was wondering the same thing..  Too funny.  They look like a good product, but I think before I shelled out that kind of coin for 1 set, I would need to use them first.

I think I spent at least $50 getting my two sets of pedals together and happening!!! I like the look of the FDS units though, I feel some copying coming on!!!

Like I said $4000 lol :) Theres no question that (FDS) PC Rudders are worth the price as very few places in the world can duplicate that quality of product, but my point is when you really think about it, $4000 is as much as most people make in a month of work, just to put your feet on them in actuality is a funny concept. And your right when it comes to price Im, more about quality than cost. But since Ive more or less dissassembled and sold off most of my A340 and am looking at new designs I realized how cost does factor in. Buy it for $5000 and only able to sell it for $1200 a year later even if its never been used and thats with pulling teeth to get that price, sure woke me up to the reality of the hobby. The true cost is not in the product as much as its in the worth to the builder :) JMO

This hobby certainly is a niche market for sure. As Tim said, you'd never get close to $4K if you decided to get out of the hobby at a later date.

There is a certain amount of satisfaction in building a lot of this stuff for a fraction of the retail cost knowing that you will not have risked that kind of money trying to sell at a later time.

Now, I wonder if he'll offer the pedals separately for $1500 or so... ::)
