Cockpit size....... too small ?

After much research (among other, talking to real life Baron owners) it seems the cockpit is rather small for my 6' 2" frame...... not to mention my creaky hip joint and back....

When putting the top of the glare screen at 38 3/4 inch from the cockpit floor, and moving downwards with the panel height, yoke, and switches panel, it only leaves some 30" between the floor and the bottom of the panel.....

It also places the yoke between my knees instead of above..... hmmmmmm.....

Am I making things too realistic, or am I missing something? How high are your yokes and panels ?
Best regards,
Francois

It's a simulator, build it to fit your comfort. No point going to the time and expense of building a sim only to never want to use it because you feel like you've just done a few rounds in a boxing ring every time you exit  :)

Just scale all your measurements up by 10-20% across the whole sim....

For example, 36" becomes 39.6" at 10% or 43.2" at 20%. Whatever the scale up is, you do it for all measurements, and then it'll seem exactly the same as the real aircraft.

I built my Beech 1900D shell with doors, even though the real deal doesn't have doors in the pit.. only the rear door to the cabin.

my two cents dont focus on this  focus on up down left right faster slower and stop whist looking out the window   everything else is gravy and keep it that way   always keep it flying or it ends up a building hobby period

Thanks people..... I hurt my back today, closing a low drawer.... so decided to build it in a height that will accommodate my stiff hips and back

It will be close enough to resemble reality ....
Best regards,
Francois

Only Billionaires can afford customized cockpits in their private jets
Feel good to be member of that club !

 :D

ame

No. Billionaires would just hire a smaller pilot.
