anybody having s**t with FS9 & Windows7

gentlemen, good day......
i 'v been playing around with the Wilco Airbus (secret project and if i tell you, it won't be a secret anymore) and loaded it into FS9 on my W7 machine.   all updates applied.     well i've just had no end of grief.    FS9 stops working, hangs and never shuts down properly.....hmmmm.    any ideas anyone.
so in desperation, i've loaded FSX (yes, FSX) and the Wilco.  sweet as a nut at 20fps at a default airport, but with payware scenery as low as 8-10.   ok, i need to upgrade the machine, but i'm only experimenting at the moment.
so back to my original question, is anybody else having issues with W7 and FS9?
would love to know.....

Ian, check this thread http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=274391 on Avsim, seems to be mixed reviews for win7 and fs9 - some have had to remove it by the look of it due to issues but others havent been having any problems...

I would have to agree with Mike.  I would think this is a windows 7 issue.

thanks for the responses......i have managed to find out this by experimenting.
FS9 runs ok in W7 but (  ), it doesn't save any FS9.cfg file anywhere.   so what ever you do
to it doesn't get saved. 
the PMDG runs fine in FS9 on W7, but the Wilco A320 will not.  odd.
however the A320 runs great in FSX on W7.  so i think that's the way i'll go with this.
