Hi all.

If like me there are people awaiting the birth of the new PMDG Boeing 737 NGX I thought you may like to know that it's imminent release date is summer 2010. I havent seen the info here yet or on the PMDG web site but on reading PC Pilot magazine that was delivered today it was printed in there.

It is a shame that PMDG couldn't keep us more up to date.

Kind regards
Gary

Thanks for the info Gary. I think there are a number of people waiting for it.

I wonder if it will come with a "+license" that will let us interface everything, maybe through drivers, to use the addon as a complete cockpit software with logics and all.

well now SA want to relieve me of even more of my hard earned money, we live in hope.
however that being said and if PMDG decide not to play ball, in preperation for the NGX, i have been 'experimenting' in FSX.
and what's been done in FS9 is i believe achievable in FSX.     i've already ripped apart the wilco airbus and the 747.      so let's see  ;D
have agreat day chaps.......     ian

I already have the PMDG running in FSX. You just strip the panels out of it and it works a treat.

Any chance of a quick tutorial Trev? The jump in price of SA has got me rethinking it big time. I really like PMDG but my FSX time would be about 10 minutes, I know I am missing out on a lot of good scenery etc. I have now collected about $800 of scenery in preparation for the transition to FSX....can't wait!!!

Cheers mate,

Hi Gwyn,

I've loaded the FS9 PMDG 737 into FSX successfully, however as Trev alluded to, the panels show up blank.  If you're using an external panel software such as PM or SA then that's no problem.  There are other functions that don't work properly however and I think they've been documents in other forums.

I can help you load it up if you get FSX.

LOL Gwyn, if you have the aircraft installed in FS9, copy the aircraft directory over to the fsx aircraft directory.  Rename the panel directory inside the aircraft directory, and thats it.

if you wanted you could use the existing default Boeing 737 panel in it by copying out of one and into the other.
