Hi all,
I started work on the shed extension just after Christmas and with the great help from my Worldflight team it's just about completed. Working for 3 days in +40 degrees C wasn't much fun but we had to keep going due to my limited time away from work. The shed is now completed and the screen is in, starting on mounting the projectors soon. Our crew is excited and eagerly awaiting the new projection system!!

Definitely Rob, I just bought a new 5kw inverter split system to replace the existing 3.5kw unit which was fine when the shed was smaller, it wouldn't be any good with 3 projectors belting out their hot gales so I've bought an AC unit rated for a much bigger space.

Hey Gywn,
Would you mind if Jack moved your thread to this section:
http://www.cockpitbuilders.com/community/index.php?board=73.0 (http://www.cockpitbuilders.com/community/index.php?board=73.0)
Your topic is exactly good info too read about and I hope by placing it in a common area others will find it easier later on down the road...
Jack, if Gywn doesn't mind will you relocate it?
Best Regards,
John
Gywn,
Do you by chance have a copy of your screen frame dimensions in drawing? I like what I see with yours, would you mind sharing?
John
My screen is 4.5 metres in diameter and 2.2 metres high. I'll be using Immersive Calibration Pro software for warping. I hope to be starting that process next Sunday and I'll post progress pics as it happens
Not a problem for me if this thread gets moved btw.
Thank you, Gywn. Look forward too your pics...
John
Jack, thank you for moving Gywn's thread...
John
It was me that moved it. But that's ok :)
Was Waiting for Gwyn OK but Trev drew faster than his shadow ! :D
Hey Guys, thank you both...you make CB great!
John
BTW all it's GOLF, WHISKEY, YANKEE, NOVEMBER - I can't even say Gywn!!!
Can I buy a vowel???
Cheers Gwyn
Hi all, what a great day today was! I tackled FlyEliseNG warping with great success. I read the manual a few times until I thought I had absorbed it all which I think was a really good move. The manual is quite thorough and it pays to have a good look at the software interface and learn the buttons first. I had a few dramas getting the server and clients to talk but it was a firewall issue, I remember reading about allowing software through the firewall! Following the manual page by page I managed to get the warping done and the test pattern displayed. I decided to give it another shot with a higher degree of accuracy and the second time it only took 40 minutes with a crisp sharp image right across the 7 metre screen. I'm planning to move the sim into place next Friday and getting it going again - can't wait!

Nice looks good Gwyn.. Don't touch that part of #2.. It may be hot lol.
Unfortunately the sim has been knocked out of action with the upgrade to P3D v3, it looks like I'll have to reprogram all the Bodnar cards but I took these pics while slewing around! The screen still has the clear plastic protective film on it with my alignment markers, this will be peeled off when I am certain I don't have to do any rewarping.

Looking awesome Gwyn,
Although I'm sure the images don't really do justice to the external view.
Have you tried creating a HDR image with your camera, that will merge a range of shots that will better show both inside and outside. These are best taken on a tripod.
Joe.
Looks like Snow in Auz Gwyn.... Didn't think you guys had snow LOL
