Title: (PLUG!) Skymaxx Pro 3.1.2 & Real Weather Connector..
Post by: RayS on April 25, 2016, 08:45:46 AM
I normally don't plug products and if this is in violation of the site's TOS, please remove with pleasure.

I upgraded my Skymaxx Pro to 3.1.2 and added an add-on called Real-Weather Connector and I have to say the combination is quite impressive. The clouds are much better looking, and RWC creates visible frontal systems that you can fly into and out of, instead of the weather just "Changing" as you approach different weather patterns.

Last night's sunset flight around Seattle and the Olympic Mountains was stunning! (It was also her maiden flight after spending a month in the hangar, getting updated avionics and dual-linked controls.)

I also got back about 8 FPS.

Thanks Ray, I think this is a topic  of general interest since this has been debated somewhere else with catastrophic outcome. Alternatives are Ultra Weather XP and  FS Global Real Weather.
FSGRW works in networked PC's and synchros Traffic without the need for WideFS.
A recent review in german came to the same conclusions as Ray reported here.
