Instructor Station - Luis Gordo

ISLOGO

What is Instructor Station ?

In flight simulation, an Instructor Operator Station (IOS) is designed to assist the instructor in controlling the simulation training environment and monitoring all aspects of pilot/crew performance in the simulator. The instructor can control, via this software, all functions such as aircraft position and systems, meteorological, environmental, and situational parameters.

The Instructor Station is meant to assist Aviation Professionals, Flight Simulation Enthusiasts and Home Cockpit Builders using Microsoft® Flight Simulator (FS) 2004™, FSX™ and ESP™, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® and X-Plane®.

The Instructor Station allows setting the aircraft on an approach to a runway of choice under any weather conditions, start-up and shutdown network computers (fully customizable), program or set aircraft system failures at any moment, calculate the amount of fuel required for a flight and load it to the aircraft, record flight performance (approaches, manoeuvres, landings, take-offs, etc.) and plot it graphically, and many other things!

Compatible with all types of aircraft! It is also a great tool for anybody who wants to control the flight simulator externally.

Many features are also available for Project Magenta users (pmSystems, Glass Cockpit, CDU/MCDU, MCP/FCU), AST & FMGS JeeHell users.

Developed by a pilot, engineer & flight simulation enthusiast.

Dear Luis. I am extremely unhappy with your software and the slow service and automated response. ( I will NEVER sort this out if you keep sending me that automated email because there is obviously a problem that requires YOUR attention that you are not listening to)I bought your software 5 days ago and still cannot use it. Every time I email you for a new code it takes 24 hours to get the key. Then when I open your software to enter the key you send me the code changes. I have spent 44 euro on your software plus I bought a new laptop just so that I can use your program. The process of paying and registering your software should be automated and not this process that has had me soooooo frustrated I could scream. Every time I ask you via email for assistance you send me another automated code message and I CANNOT USE YOUR PROGRAM. Please either sort it out or refund my money!! I have been buting flight sim programs online for many years now and have NEVER had this kind of problem. I normally get resolution immediately or at the longest within an hour or so. >:( >:( If you do not sort this out I will just write your instructor program off to bad debt and buy something else like project magenta )

Hi David,

I am just curious about your laptop. Normally, laptops have one internet connection or NIC card where some desktops have one or two NICs, so have all of your installation attempts been on the new laptop? Why? Well, I had a similar issue with a desktop with two NICs in it. If I have both connected, the key codes for IS get confused. Luis sent me several key codes to try and fix it, now if I knew it was the two NICs, it would've been easier to solve. However, IS wasn't designed for two NICs, so Luis was not at fault...

Thus, have you try another machine as a tester just to be sure it isn't the laptop? I ask because some laptops do have a wireless NIC and a hard wired NIC; therefore, if for some reason you have both in use either by having a wireless router with the laptop getting reception and your hard wire is plugged in at the same, you will get exactly what I had on my desktop. Now, you could also have only one connected, but both are "enabled" and that is somehow causing the problem.

Do you know how to disable one? Go to network connections and right click on one or the other (look at the names of the connections to know which one is which), and then select disable. Thus, you will first try one and then try the other...that means disable/enable from one to the other. IS program is tied to the NIC card, so I am guessing this is your whole problem. Although, if Luis gave you different key codes, you might have to go through my suggestion above for all the codes he gave you. In other words, when you get to the dialog box to enter key code, the code could be for the first NIC or second one; there is no way know for sure. That means disable NIC 1...try code, then enable NIC 1 and disable NIC 2 try same code, if it does'nt work repeat same process with next key code, and do this for how ever many codes he gave you.

Finally, I was frustrated like you, but I learned that Luis is the only person who does this program, and he works a regular job like most single person programmer/company, so the 24 turn around time for companies' like his is pretty standard. Heck, there are some that would take days to give you an answer too only wait days more to get the next answer. So, if Luis got back to you quicker then that, I'd say he's doing a good job...

Please post your testing results, if anything I believe it is a two NIC configuration...

Best Regards,

John

John - Hi and thanks! Sorry if I sounded too angry, but it is more that I love the look and feel of Luis' program and therefore I want to use it asap. I am just like a disppointed little boy with his flight sim..thats all. I will try your suggestions and will try and be more understanding of Luis situation etc. So, I will try to resolve this with your suggestions. I guess I am also less knowledgeable than Luis so it is more difficult for me to understand the way this works. Thanks for the reply! Dave

Hi David,

I am sorry to hear about your frustration, and about the fact that you are not happy with the support provided so far.

First of all, for your peace of mind please know that the Instructor Station has a 100% client satisfaction guarantee so if you so wish to, we will refund your money. No worries.

As for the problem you are experiencing with the KEY-CODE process, John is right. In certain circumstances, several active network connections can cause changes and interfere with the process.  His suggestion to try to solve the issue is correct too.  We have also found that as long as you use both cards in the same way (i.e. one as primary, etc.) you can have multiple enabled cards when using the Instructor Station, no problem.

As I said, I am sorry to hear about your frustration, and I look forward to being able to help you out.

Please do not hesitate to write, either here or via email, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best regards,
Luis Gordo
