Flight Simulation  Enthusiasts Host Charity Event
Flight 737, Now Departing for All Children's Hospital! -  "We are just a bunch of flight simulation enthusiasts  who pursue our hobby to the extreme" says Sam Llorca,  "and we want to channel that enthusiasm to  raise donations for the benefit a very worthwhile organization.... All  Children's Hospital".  Sam and his lovely wife Laura, son Brian and recent addition  Adrian are residents of the DeSoto Acres area of North Sarasota.  Sam has a very unique hobby that keeps him  busy in his spare time.  He has constructed in his garage a full size replica of the cockpit of a Boeing 737-800  aircraft.  This is a full motion  simulator that replicates the operating controls and various systems of the  real aircraft. Sam can fly anywhere in the world in real world weather  conditions that mimic what you see outside your window.  The view out the cockpit window is  realistically stunning  facilitated by a  large 180 degree curved projection screen.

Sam will be hosting the USA team for WorldFlight 2014  November 1-8.  He and about a dozen of  his fellow "cockpit builders" from the USA and Canada will be using  his cockpit to fly around the world making 44 stops along the way on each of  the continents. There will be no rest for the weary as the cockpit will be  operated around the clock for the entire week.   The pilots will be using real aviation procedures including live virtual  air traffic control.  There are 12 other WorldFlight teams located around the world  who will be flying the same global routes for their respective local charities.  The WorldFlight organization  raises tens of thousands of dollars each year for some very worthy charities!

Sam and his friends invite those who are interested to view  the actual operations in the cockpit and the view out the front window by visiting www.worldflightusa.com.  "We will have live video cam feeds set  up in the cockpit during the entire event" says Sam, "and while  visiting our website  also consider  making a donation to All Children's Hospital."  More details about the event and Sam's simulator can be found  on the WorldFlight USA website.  For a  larger donation you can actually schedule a ride in the cockpit during one of  the flight segments.   Now that would be a  once in a lifetime experience!

Today we released the WorldFlight 2014 news media brief to the local Sarasota and Tampa Bay print, radio, and TV news media. We are also planning an on-site news media briefing at the kickoff of WorldFlight on Saturday Nov 1, 2:00-4:00 pm. We are hoping to get good media coverage to attract local readers and listeners to the worldflightusa.com website.  We are also hoping to generate interest regarding the opportunity to "buy" a seat in the cockpit for a larger donation.

A Word .docx copy of the news brief is attached herewith for your conveneience.  We encourage you to distribute it to your friends and acquaintances to solicit their donations to ACH.

We want to blow through the total contribution amount we raised last year for All Childrens Hospital....but we need the help of everyone!

Thanks,

The WorldFlight USA Team
