I'm a home cockpit builder and developer.

Over time I ran into the usual problems many of us face: multiple boards, needing to write code, manual encoder setup, complicated wiring, and separate solutions for buttons, encoders and lights. I developed a single board that tries to solve these issues.

Hi, my name is Sean I'm 15 and and I'm new here. I'm trying to build and full and enclosed B747-200 cockpit in my home with the upper deck cabin and I have all measurements from Boeing. I want to build the frame out of plywood but I don't know how. I hope anybody has any tips on how to build the wooden frame.

You probably remember Link2FS, the tool many of us used to get started in cockpit building. I've decided to create something more advanced for MSFS: FFairLink.


It allows you to list, read, and write offsets and Lvars, perform any custom mathematical operations, and send them via a serial port to any Arduino, Teensy, ESP32, or any hardware of your choice. You can process these variables and send messages back to FFairLink, which then translates them into commands or writes to offsets and Lvars.

With its integrated handshake system, FFairLink automatically detects which port Windows has assigned to each device, saving you from manually configuring serial ports every time.

You can add over 200 Arduinos per aircraft profile. For each device, you can register as many variables as you like, assign them a unique code, and have them sent directly to the hardware.

My Piper Comanche cockpit is already fully operational using this system.


I will be publishing the code and Arduino examples for sending and receiving messages with FFairLink soon.

Total flexibility in cockpit building. If you can imagine it, you can build it.

It's been requested. On VAC from Halloween until the following Sunday; I'm off that Monday, then Tuesday I'm going to DFW for an airline industry conference.

Yes for sure our intent is to participate. We have been participating but the hard part is getting enough bodies and flying a limited schedule.  We do the best we can.

Know also that some airlines have chosen to put this control on both sides of the cockpit for pilot and copilot.

So I see the counter updated to counting down to 11-1-26. Is there an intent to operate this year?  I do want to participate, but my November dance card is rapidly filling up.  There MAY be a reunion at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA, and it usually coincides with the Veteran's Day holiday, and of course if we can get aboard DLI; last year the post was closed to all non-mission-essential activities. We are also buying a new flight planning system at work, and I'm a part of the implememtation team, the fun starts at the end of next month.
