Title: Weber Seats-- New Upholstery
Post by: sagrada737 on December 05, 2021, 12:19:59 PM
Hello All,

I recently reupholstered my Weber Seats.  Both the fabric and the sheepskin were pretty worn in the original seats.  I investigated getting them redone in Sheepskin, but the price was way too high.  I decided to go with a high quality auto upholstery material that was a good texture/color match.

I used the existing Upper Back cushion fabric, since it was in fairly good condition.  In any case, both seats are restored.  The feel in the seat is a bit less soft vs. the previous sheepskin, but not significant.  In fact, it transfers the ButtKicker vibration better.   Total cost for the upholstery was $750.  This upgrade, along with the new J-Rail Rollers, completes this part of my Sim Project.

Mike, did you check out Omnavia for the sheepskin?  I bought sheepskin for my Webers from them at what I thought was quite a reasonable price.  About $10/sq ft.  Also bought Boeing fabric from them, again, for quite reasonable.  Plus, they have been a great company to work with.
