I've seen this before but I still find it mind boggling every time I see it again. This makes the biggest and most complex train set seem like child play compared to this.

Every now and then my work takes me to Hamburg. And every trip I take a day off to visit the Miniatur Wunderland (www.miwula.de). This is the largest model train setup (HO gauge) in the world. They hold several world records.

About 1 1/2 years ago they finished the airport. From my experience, you can spend the entire day just watching airplanes. It is an almost exact replica of the Hamburg airport. The terminal, control tower, hangars etc. were reproduced with the utmost detail.

I highly recommend a visit to this place.
