Okay Bernard...You have peaked my curiosity!

What exactly will all those displays be showing?

Is this a semi-commercial project?

Where is the Simulator?

Etc.?

for Fred   its basically the SMS (surface management systems) and the internal enviroments to have a fully immersive universe

for Trev ...  i would say at end of day costs inclusive of implimentation heavier side of X0k plus NSFFNIYM (not so *** funny now using your money)   😉 wish it was i would be done now

the sim its self is down stairs taking up 3000 sgft

Trevor Hale

It looks stunning no matter which way you put it.  Some of us have had good fortune to be able to design such an amazing facility.  When its all done I am sure the photos won't actually put into perspective the sheer magnitude of money, work or just the entire picture of how it all works, but its nice to look at what the haves have, while being happy being a have not. :)
Very nice.

Bernard,  I think many of us would love to see your setup.  If I am ever in TX I will look you up.  Just to see something like that would be awesome.  In fact, there may be a training opportunity for me in Houston in the summer.

Got the Galley section a tad closer to completion.
Still have to add roof and puck lights as well as the curved side walls with real aircraft windows.

Fun project.... :D

Well I finally got my backside of the sofa, and had a good push on this TQ I've been working on for what seems like years.

What stared off like image 1 two weeks ago now looks like the other images.
All the top panels are 3D printed including the Flap Speedbrake and cutoff levers. That includes the knobs and most of the brackets that tie the main axle together.
Of course this is the colour of the PLA and raw Aluminum, so it still has to be painted. Also  I still have to fit the parking brake and lever, I'm going to get that done shortly.

It's been quite a task but it all works quite nicely, with a Leo Bodnar card as the interface.
I did intend to motorise it but ended up just motorising the trim wheels. Those incidentally were from my mate Gwyn of Aerosim Solutions.

Anyway it's been ages since I posted any pics so I thought I'd bring things up to date. Now all I've got to do is build that shell.   8) 8)

Happy new year to everyone.
