Hello!
After reading this faboulus forum for over a year as an guest i made it to join this community as a registered member.
I am from Germany, living near the town of cologne.38 years old, Married, and father of a daughter. Flight sim enthusiast since more then 25 years. after a long time in online warfare in Il2 Sturmovik, as an member of the german JG51 in the VOW Online war, i found my real passion in civil airliner piloting :-)
so i started building a 737 cockpit. i call it myself a 737 trash cockpit because i used plywood etc, what was left from building in the house etc. all electronic parts a second hand.

my dream is a 737 from FDS ( even my wife is impressed from the FDS pictures)
So thats for the beginning.

Welcome aboard and do not worry, my first sim was Cardboard, not even plywood.
Besides has nothing to do with the material itself, after all some fabric covered
airplanes do aerobatics!
We all are here to help if needed and learn from each other.

i was more like a joke :-) i am satisfied ( for the moment) with my cockpit. it was from the beginning clear that this is just a time soluion, until i have enough to buy some FDS stuff. i learned a lot of wiring, etc, something i think will be helpfull when i get my finger on some "real" stuff.
so this is a learning sim, to make mistakes, and so on :-)

Ha! They are all "learning" sims!
Welcome Kresimer, nice start you have there and like Jack said, most of us started the same way. this is an addicting hobby and you wont stop until you realize your dream. FDS is a great choice and trust me you won't be disappointed. Once you get your hands on that first panel you will never be the same!

Update!
Old Sim was teared down, and the start of building a dual seater started. Building since December 2012.
Here a few pictures, more information will follow on coming weekend, when i am back from work.

Impressive view, Kresimir! Looks like you are close to 95% completion. (A good simulator is never 100% complete. However I remember Maurice claimed th otherwise ;) )
