Hello all,
Anyone now what kind of bearing goes into the 737 rudder pedals? Part no or dimensions.

Hi,

Have you tried searching the ingraved lettering. Difficult to read on my phone. But looks like fafnir kp20a.

You should be able to find replacements. But they can get expensive.

Good idea! Didn't think of that. (I don't own them, just a picture) I searched for kp20a and got hits. Looks like outer diameter is 2.25 in and bore 1.25".

Gonna look for non-aviation bearings that could work instead, they are probably unreasonable expensive..

I think its a Kp10a

The bore should be 5/8 or 15.875mm if iam correct.

P/N is MB540DDFS428 Ive linked a webpage for the specs

Alternate numbers are BAC10FU14RJ and BACB10FU14RJZ

Edit- This is the p/n for the NG. Boeing did make changes to the rudder pedal assemblies when changing from the classics so I dont know if they reused the same castings for the bellcrank assy and I dont have a classic ipc to compare the p/n.

Thanks guys. I found the parts in AMM. KP10A seems to be one of the bearings.. But it looks like there is two type of bearings. The brake assembly seems to have KP25? Could that be right?

Yes, item 110 is the bearings that you first posted pictures for. The ipc points to the bellcrank and drawing A, Drawing A is then exploded with the parts breakdown.

I dont see items 230 or 250 for the smaller bearing, so they would be in the exploded drawings of B or C or another drawing all together.
Does that make sense?

However there should be a better drawing that includes all the hardware for the shaft that goes through those bearings as well. It should illustrate the bearings on both sides of the bellcrank. If you have the IPC try and fing that drawing

Thanks for your input. Highly valueable. I'll keep looking in the IPC.

Bought a pair of classic pedals today. Probably need to replace the KP10A bearings. Will be a fun project.
