Hello everyone.  Need some help with interfacing my real ACP's.
I've got two versions of the Gables ACP pinouts and they both are fairly identical.  Some minor differences that don't apply to my issue.

I've managed to map out all the Potentiometers to their FS functions without any problems.  The issue I am having is with identifying how to interface the TXMT mode Pushbuttons (1-VHF-2-VHF-3, 1-HF-2, CABIN, FLT, PA).  I have tried every variation of continuity I can think of and can't isolate the circuit.  I've tried using the Audio Common (PIN 8) and the Chassis Ground (PIN 34) and no luck.  In a perfect world, PIN 8 to PIN 13 (VHF-1 MIC) would be the correct circuit but no luck.

Has anyone else successfully interfaced the ACP and retained functionality of those buttons?

Thanks,

Warren

Hi Warren
I got them hooked from the appropriate terminals inside the box (sliders push on push off) ..not an easy one.

Thanks Jack.

I was afraid of that.  I was really hoping to make use of all the wiring.

Other than that, are you using all the stock wiring?  How about the 5V and 28V lines?

Wow! How did you do that?

Fairly easily as I had the pinouts (all the ACPs seem to be fairly close in the pinouts.  Now that

It wasn't too hard.  I had the J connector pinouts.  The pots are easy.  They are a straight through circuit (ground, switch/pot, positive) so as long as your interface supports the function you can interface directly.

Now that I have the actual schematics though, I am seeing the issue with the R/T selectors.
Basically, the PTT on the yoke selects the circuit (INT or R/T) then that travels through the selected MIC button in the ACP, back out to the Amps.  Obviously as the PTTs are connected to FS, the circuit isn't usable.

However, I think that by grounding out the circuit I should be able to then go to the FS MIC functions.  I think I'll try the MASK/BOOM switch to close the circuit.  That way I can select whether to use the BOOM or the MASK MIC.

More to follow in this.
