Instructor Station - Luis Gordo

ISLOGO

What is Instructor Station ?

In flight simulation, an Instructor Operator Station (IOS) is designed to assist the instructor in controlling the simulation training environment and monitoring all aspects of pilot/crew performance in the simulator. The instructor can control, via this software, all functions such as aircraft position and systems, meteorological, environmental, and situational parameters.

The Instructor Station is meant to assist Aviation Professionals, Flight Simulation Enthusiasts and Home Cockpit Builders using Microsoft® Flight Simulator (FS) 2004™, FSX™ and ESP™, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® and X-Plane®.

The Instructor Station allows setting the aircraft on an approach to a runway of choice under any weather conditions, start-up and shutdown network computers (fully customizable), program or set aircraft system failures at any moment, calculate the amount of fuel required for a flight and load it to the aircraft, record flight performance (approaches, manoeuvres, landings, take-offs, etc.) and plot it graphically, and many other things!

Compatible with all types of aircraft! It is also a great tool for anybody who wants to control the flight simulator externally.

Many features are also available for Project Magenta users (pmSystems, Glass Cockpit, CDU/MCDU, MCP/FCU), AST & FMGS JeeHell users.

Developed by a pilot, engineer & flight simulation enthusiast.

Hello there, I bought the is a couple of weeks ago and I'm having some minors issues:

- Ext power remote connection is not working,
- Some faults generates an error and I need to restart the IS,
- Some other faults just lights up the "off" light and not the "fault" light, not generating any ecam action,
- It is possible to center the map on the acf automatically?

Please help, thanks a lot.  Push back, re pos, fuel, weather works perfect. THANKS.

Hi,

I have also Jeehell FMGS and IS (bought it last week) and I have same kind of problems.

- Ext. power remote doesn't work
- Planes lights doesn't work from IS
- Some problems with the automatic startup procedure and MCDU programming

I have tried to put my plane to appr and it works, but the problem is that even that the engines are on and the throttles at TO the speed is zero, so every time the plane falls from the sky immediately. How to do this correctly?

Another stuff, when controlling weather by the IS it shows a temperature of 38 Cº. ¿? Help.

Hi Guys,

Not sure if you are aware but from what I am told the "Official JeeHellWare Forum" Is at mycockpit.org, I do not believe the developer is a member here.

Absolutly sure. I'm having issues with Instructor Station, not JH. Instructor Station has a link redirecting their users to this site.

My Apologies...

This is Luis Gordo's Official Forum, The Jeehell subject confused me LOL.

Hello Julio,

Please find answers to issues:
1- Ext pwr: iStation v3.42 has been released and this should be fixed.
2- Faults generating issues:  See item #1 above.
3- Some of the faults are simulated by turning respective systems/features off.  No other way to currently simulate these in JH I'm afraid.
4- Auto-center no map is currently not implemented.  Will consider for future versions.

Best regards,

Hi. Please see reply to previous post.

Plane lights are simulated by JH, not iStation.

For auto-start and MCDU, please download and install version 3.42.

Finally, recommended sequence to place ACFT quickly on an approach (using FMGS JeeHell, starting from Cold & Dark) is as follows:

  • ACFT Auto Start-Up
  • MCDU Quick-Set
  • Start Engines (manually)
  • Set ACFT in position.
  • Set THR levers in CLB position (taking all the way to TOGA first).
  • Set FCU.
  • Freeze flight, unpause & stabilize.  It is recommended to set the ACFT at a speed of 250 kts, and then gradually reduce speed & add flaps as needed while froze (or you can do this as part of the approach if flown from far enough distance).

Julio,
There is a limitation in the FSX / P3D WXR engine, in the way weather is injected. With iStation you currently need to specify 3 layers of clouds in order to be able to inject temp and baro.
Hope this answers your question.

thanks, I have downloaded it. It works fine, now I can't control the ext power and it is more stable, but I'm still unable to produce a failure in any of the systems. I get an error message about an unchalled exeption.

I'm glad your issues were resolved.  With respect to failures, they have been reported to work properly by other users.  Please email or PM me with specific details of your problem, so we can address and get you up and running.
