Boeing had a testflight with 787 nr 2 to the arctic Norwegian island "Svalbard" yesterday. Their plan is to use this airport for emergiences with the planes if that will ever be neccessary. Link to a norwegian article in Norwegian language. The video is nice. and for a few nice pictures, click on the "SE BILDESERIE" link.

Use google translator if you want to understand anything of the written stuff ;)

DonĀ“t know if Boeing consider this as part of their polar routing programs, adapted for the 787?

What a beautiful sight! Strange though that there is only one cockpit side window in a plane that size. And Ivar, don't even think of building a 787 simulator now...you got me into enough trouble with your visuals and projectors.  ;D

We just had a position bid here at CAL that has the 787 on it!  We already have the training program in place and the instructors are going through classes now.. just waiting on the airplane!!

I bid for it.. not gonna get it though.. maybe someday. will be nice to see em on the line though!
