:( Well...  it's with a heavy heart that I just unplugged my sim.  Time to hang it up for the next 8 months or so while I go off and save the world again.

It's not all bad though...  I couldn't resist the price and broke down and bought FSX Gold with the Acceleration pack.  I figure, it will soon be a collectors item (along with all the other versions I have since the commodore days).  It's currently installing on my laptop and will travel with me to get me through the withdrawals.

I'll still be active in the forums, but won't get a chance to build until I return.

Take care of yourself Warren. And thanks again for the contact info for gas springs. I ordered them from Lucy Sun and they are now on their way to Canada.

Best wishes for a safe return,

All the best to you. I assume youre being deployed or doing contract work. Keep safe whatever it may be- 8 months will hopefully go by fast enough for ya.

Thanks everyone!

Luckily I will have internet access and some free time here and there to stay involved in the forum.

I didn't get as far as I had hoped on the sim this last go around, but it gives me something to shoot for when I return.  At least I'll get a chance to update my website now

The next question I guess is...  C-5 or C-17?  C-5's are nice as they always break en-route so I get a chance to enjoy the scenery and a night out, or two, before getting to work.  I prefer flying in the C-17, but they're always in a hurry to get there and back so usually no night out.

I remember them, that's for sure.  Flew in a few.  Funny though, I can't remember ever landing in one...  jumped out each time, if I remember right.

Take that back right now Timmy boy!  If you are getting old, what the heck does that make me, a Neanderthal?

I seem to recall you once said you would never get old or at least act old. So what on earth happened to you? Just ignore the achy joints, the failing eyesight, the pitiful urine stream, the Grand Canyon wrinkles, the sleepless nights, the failing memory, the ever increasing spine curvature and the less than impressive bowel movements and get out of your wheelchair, pick up your cane and start acting young again. Is nothing sacred anymore??  ;D

I hear ya, Tim.  I became a grandfather three years ago while deployed.  Grandson #2 is in the oven now and will be done again, while I'm deployed.

Thanks for the words, everyone.
