Also be aware that the software used to connect or interface between the hardware and the computer can give you disconnects no matter witch USB hubs you are using!

This one below Warren and made more two hours of flight today and still stable...fingers crossed.

One thing, I changed the jumper inside from "U" (computer USB power) to "T" (terminal external power) to use only the external terminal power for the ports connected to an external 12v power supply.

Ahhhhh.  That may be why I was having issues.  I have the same ones but found they were cutting out when I was using 12V from a regulated power supply.  They seemed to work great when I used a dedicated powers supply though.  That may have just been luck.  The issue is probably the jumper.

I'll have to take a look.  Thanks.

Hi Warren,

Try that because today I have made another flight for about 3 hours and I think that all was really solved for all my USB problems.
I believe that using USB computer power to juice the hub could be the problem for all my intermitent USB disconnections for some particular overhead hardware.

I am really thinking to change my others two hubs that I have on other two PC's to have finally a end of this old USB problems.

Warren, I bought this model from eBay recently and have had no drop-outs since installing it. Once again another mains powered hub.

Cheers
Joe.

The sim is being disassembled right now for shipping back to the US.  I'm holding off on any more hubs as I believe I'll be good with my startechs once I get back to the US and a house with reliable power.  I'm going to pop them open and make sure they are jumpered for external power though.
