Title: Intercom 737
Post by: jackpilot on April 30, 2013, 11:23:36 AM
I finished a prototype plate integrating 4 plugs and a real GA intercom bought on EBay for $50.

It is voice activated, has sidetone (hearing yourself) and full duplex.
Music can be mixed in,  in this case ATC sound. Works real nice with any aircraft Headset, uses 12V from pedestal power supply.

The final version will have a small plate with 2 (mic/heads) plugs on each sidewall and will try to integrate the volume and squelch from the real ACPs.
:D
Just sharing.

Awesome Jack!

I hope to get out your way someday to check out your sim.  Always great ideas you have in yours.

Very nice Jack!  Can you share the wiring diagram?  They say plagarism is the highest form of flattery.

Warren:
If you mean interfacing (linking with ,would be more accurate) with the real ACP, not yet done
I have the diag for the intercom though if you need it.

Mau:
Glad you like it. the sidetone is a very nice realistic addition when you talk to ATC.

Great idea Jack, I like that a lot!

Although if its a check airman in the jumpseat behind you on the intercom sometimes its better they don't hear what you say "especially under your breath" :)

oh and maybe Scott can pick me up along the way to visit.. love to check it out someday!
