Well, it's not the same as what I have at home...
but for a small investment, I have made my home away from home a little more bearable.

The best part is, with this setup, I can still fly my favorite GA planes when I get home while still working on my 737.

Cheers from Baghdad!

Good 4U
There are days when I look back at the Desktops with envy!
(when computer #XX  quits and that switch fails or VNC refuses to connect etc etc.. ;D)

Are U back soon?

That was a big regret for me when I decided to go straight 737 (love the plane!), but everynow and then, I do like to fly low and slow.  Now I can!

I'll be back in June.  Looking forward to that as I hope to get over to Greece again this year on vacation in July (and get to fly Nick1150's setup!).

Warren,

Are you living in Barracks or a Tent Hooch or in an apartment?!?! I cannot fathom how if you're anywhere other than an apartment how you'd have all that great desktop stuff. Great to have "home" away from home- at least this one aspect.

All the best.

I have to admit that I live fairly well.  I live in what amounts to a "small" palace in the rest of the world, but we refer to as a villa here.  I actually have my own little apartment so plenty of space.

The hard part is getting everything home after the deployment without having to mail it.

As for home away from home...  by the time I leave here in June, I will have spent 18 of the last 24 months living in this room over two seperate trips, so it is actually home.  With about six years total time in Iraq since 2002, I actually have twoe times as much time here, than I do at home.
