I'm not a big fan, but here's some news

http://www.fsnews.com/x-plane/x-plane-10-apparently-delayed/

A reader of X-Plane 9 updates found a footnote by Austin Meyers, warning that X-Plane 10 shouldn't be expected until the end of this year at the earliest.

The note read "..... X-Plane 10 is much, much, much slower in coming along than I planned.. but it is much, much better as well. It is slow because I have raised the bar ridiculously high for this release, simply because I CAN. SO, I am keeping v9 totally bug-free while v10 is developed, which I am hoping to have ready by the end of this year....".

Hoping is the operative word there?
Less than 4 years to retirement......

Hopefully Microsoft Flight will be out by then as well and all our FSX problems will be solved and there will be no need to switch to X-plane.

Ok, I'm a big dreamer but dreaming is free so why not dream if it makes you feel good  :)

I really think that this is a good thing. No need for FS vs XPlane battle here, but it's obvious that the marjority of us builders use FS. As a result of the new XPlane shots looking so much improved over previous releases, I am excited to see what they come out with.
