Hi all,
I have begun the painstaking process of upgrading the software side of my sim from WinXP/FS9 to Win7/FSX 64bit.

I am looking for recommendations on Antivirus/Firewall programs.  All I'll be doing on the system is Flying online, and FSX related connections and Win7/Microsoft required updates/connections.

I have full versions of McAfee VirusScan Plus, and Symantec End Point Protection 12.1 but would prefer to not have the system overhead.

I would also prefer the package to free if possible.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I use AVG Free 2012 on all my sim PC's and it works great!

Microsoft Security Essentials would be my recommendation. It's free, uses minimal resources and does the job well. I use it on all my systems and have never had any virus or mallware and best of all it doesn't seem to have any impact on flight sim performance.
